Bug Description

Some filters that come with inkscape states that the sun comes from top left. As I want them to come from straight top I need to change the values (offset and/or azimuth) by hand everytime.
So goes with some colors and or properties. Can't we set some variables in user's preferences and/or document definition so that they could be used by filter ?

<feOffset dx="5" dy="5" inkscape:BindTo="dx:Dx_shadow;dy=Dy_shadow" />
<feFlood flood-color="#ddd" flood-opacity="0.3" result="pict2" inkscape:BindTo="flood-color:Os_backgroundColor" />

Does CSS provide a way to use the system default colours? If not, the first step would be to file it as a feature request for the next version of CSS.

Interesting idea. We could use some setting like "global illumination" or "global direction" (since this might be used for something more than just lights and shadows). This could be a Document propierty and scripts could be rewritten to take their settings from this propierty. When changed, all effects would change accordingly.

@HyperHacker: I don't know what you mean. What does system colors has to do with this request?
