Bug Description

Hey, been googling but haven't found a solution yet so I'm posting as a bug.

The Intuos3 is working as I can use it as a input device and it picks up pressure when using the calligraphy tool.

The issue is is that moving and selecting an object is very flaky. Sometimes it works most of the time it doesn't. When moving the pen tool over an object and tapping (clicking) it does not select the object. To select the object I have to drag an box select an object. When I have selected an object I can't not then move the object using the pen, the cursor doesn't change to the move tool, instead it just stays as a cursor. If I use my mouse I the cursor instantly changes and I can move the object. I can also select the object by hovering over it and clicking with the mouse. The mouse works 100% of the time.

Inkscape 0.47
Mac OS X 10.5.8
XQuartz 2.1.6

Actually I am noticing quite of bit of issues with the Intuos3. Right now its not registering any input from the pen other than its location. I clicked on the Objects Menu and I can't click away from the menu and close it. It is forcing me to select something from the menu before it closes. If I switch to the mouse and click outside the menu it closes.

Having this exact same issue. It's drawing me crazy... since I upgrade from 0.47. I'm using a Graphire Tablet (Sapphire, CTE-430) which as a pencil with two ends (eraser/pencil). I think it's related to that.

Everything is configured and working, but the selected tool gets really confused. If I want to just select an object and move it, I can do it with my mouse, but with the tablet it's apparently random. I can see the cursor (that new ugly cursor with a hand) appearing when it's in the right state, so I was able to try to reproduce it.

Essentially: the 'grab hand' mouse state doesn't activate unless a) I move the mouse using the trackpad, or b) I move the pen out of the tablet. So the workaround seems to be raising the pen an getting it closer to the tablet again.

Something very wrong was introduced between 0.47 and 0.48 relating to the way the cursor shape changes based on the input device in use.

forgot to mention, I'm using Mac OS X --tried both in Leopard and Snow Leopard with same results. XQuartz 2.3.5.
