Bug Description
This is similar to the clone pasting bug #169120
If you have a path that has a pattern-along-path effect applied and you selected to have the 'pattern' object linked to it, copied the path and pasted without the 'pattern' object, the pasted object breaks apart. If you paste them both and then delete the 'pattern' object, everything is fine.
So in the same way I would expect a clone to be unlinked to th eparent when pasting to a new document without the parent, I would expect the object to unlink the 'pattern' object in this case.
I've attached a sample case. Open up the SVG and select the graphic (group). Paste to a new document. Observe the swirls to break.
