Bug Description

When exporting an SVG file to EPS with text inside (text is exported as text not as path) the text shown in the PDF (containing the EPS) is sometimes no longer selectable and searchable.
This does not happen with Inkscape 0.46
When the text is not selectable it really looks bad on a PDF such as it is not antialiased.
I've no time to investigate on this bug, so I'm attaching a file here where there is a searchable text and a not searchable text. There is also an image in the file because I've seen that without other paths and figures in an SVG all the text contained is well exported as searchable text.

I wonder if you could clarify the word "searchable"?

If you mean that the text is no longer present as text, so that you cannot find it using a standard text editor, then you are correct, this is a well-documented and fairly serious bug, Bug 375323

On the other hand, if I export this to .pdf, then in the resulting file, attached, if I use Adobe Reader, I can both search for and find and select the word "Search" in both sentences.

Yes, the issue is well defined in Bug 375323, I couldn't find it when opening this bug. Sorry
For "searchable" I mean what is described in Bug 375323.
