Bug Description
Something for the wishlist:
When using the find objects tool (Ctrl-F), I think the default should be "all checkboxes unchecked". When I want to find all kinds of objects in a layer, I do a Ctrl-A. When I use the find tool, I do it for one certain category of objects, so every time I have to uncheck all the boxes exept one.
Not urgent, not important - just in the case someone needs a bit of quick success… (-;

related: bug #456180 “find dialog doesn't allow to search for attribute values”:
<https:/
«the starting point of that dialog should be:
[ ] [find]
Every additional checkbox limiting or extending the scope of the search should be considered a necessary evil based on _relevant_ use cases.»

The Find dialog now has a "All objects" checkbox, that when unchecked unchecks all the objects types. Hopefully this removes the main annoyance reported here.
Can also select all object by type quickly from the Main and Context menus "Select Same->Object Types".
Hopefully those features cover this report.

While I have adjusted to the repeated unchecking of all checkboxes (my main use of the dialog: create a selection set based on type not attributes) I still support the wish either to change the default to 'all unchecked' or to add a button 'Reset' or a toggle 'Check/Uncheck All'.
