Bug Description

I made a simple .svg file to demonstrate a problem I'm having with Inkscape:

When I have an SVG file with multiple embedded 'svg' elements, Inkscape seems to have trouble with the coordinate system of them. For example, if you open the attached file in inkscape, it initially renders correctly -- two upside-down "L" shapes, vertically stacked. However, if you click on the lower shape and attempt to drag it, it immediately jumps downward. It seems that the initial renderer knows how to render it, but upon moving it, the position is altered incorrectly.

In my understanding of the svg definition, especially of the coordinate system (see ), the lower shape is in the correct position as drawn by Inkscape initially. I'm not sure why a slight mouse movement causes the shape to jump so dramatically.

This is tested on Ubuntu Karmic amd64, and Inkscape version is "Inkscape 0.47pre4 r22446 (Oct 15 2009)".

Thanks for any help.
