Draw freehand tool ignores first few nodes

Reproduce:

1. Click F6 for Draw freehand lines
2. Sketch a half circle
3. When releasing left mouse button, the initial few nodes are not included in the result path
(noticed most visibly by the extents box of the added result path being not what is expected)

I'm using version 0.47 released September 28th. I'm on a Windows Vista 32 bit machine.

works as expected with Inkscape 0.46-2 -> regression

Thanks for confirming. It is really not practically a big deal since cloing a path works, and also drawing line-by-line with Shift+F6. But I guess users who draw with tablets and such (I use mouse), sketch a lot, will feel this issue distracts them slightly.

I have the same issue as well, running Inkscape 0.47 r22583, built Nov 21 2009. I think it is more than distracting, especially if you are using a tablet to create illustrations as Olof points out. It would be very useful to have it fixed.

revision 9052 might have introduced a small regression:

steps to reproduce
1) launch Inkscape with default preferences, with the pencil tool:
2) draw a straight line (click A, click B)
3) draw another straight line (click C, click D)
3) draw a freehand curve (click E, drag to F)

expected result:
straight lines A-B and C-D
curve E-F

actual result:
straight lines A-B and C-D
curve A-E-F

reproduced with 0.47+devel r9066, r9061, r9058, r9052
not reproduced with 0.47 r22584, 0.47+devel r9029, r9047
