Bug Description

Ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix beta.

Netbook remix maximizes all top level windows by default to optimize the screen estate usage on little netbook screens.

This is issue on e.g. Inkscape "Export bitmap" window. It maximizes itself when the dialog is opened, which is nice, since it needs lots of space for the options. However the user cannot *close* the window any way.

- The window itself does not provide Close button which I think is must for all dialog-like windows by HIG

- The window trusts to window manager decoration for closing which is a mistake

- The window does not provide hint "do not maximize me"

Possible solutions:

- Provide close button

- Provide window hints correctly so that window is not maximized to full screen

Workaround

- Use CTRL+F4 to dismiss the window
