Bug Description
I recently downloaded the .47 pre 1 version. the first problem I reported had to do with printing, it only happened once, so i think that was on my side.
now something serious, I think.
for my computer, I have a drawing of a womens 1-piece swimsuit that I am designing.
I have made sure my units of measure and base units were all the same, and decided to measure the path using the "measure path" command.
well some things that should be around 18 cm are measuring at 43 mm. another line that is used in two different places and copied from one place to the other measures at 4.0m and 19.8mm in two different locations. the same line just copied over.
I have another computer with versions .46 and I measured something there and it worked like a charm, all of the measurements were within 1-2mm of anticipated length.
when I run the Measure path command on .46 it is almost an instant report of the length. When I measured that line the is both 4.0m and 19.8 mm, a dialog box came up and said something like "measure path working" and took almost 15 seconds to put up the dimensions. during that time in the command line at the bottom of the screen, where running programs are displayed, the tab for the measure path command was flickering constantly during the time of the measure path working dialog box popup and the cpu usage meter went crazy and spiked on both cpu and memory
one small line that is a little over 2 cm long, when I tried to measure the path for it, it took over a minute and then the flickering tab stopped flickering and the program, .47 stopped responding all together and had to be shut down with the task manager.
I will be uninstalling .47 and reinstalling .46 this evening.
I am running a pentium 4 machine 2.6 ghz, 760mb of ram, with xp home 2002, service pack 2,
I will answer any questions I can,
thanks for all you do in writing and providing such a wonderful program in Ink Scape
thanks again
Steve
