Bug Description

As discussed in various places we shouldn't use the generic name in the name
field in the desktop files:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xdg/2009-July/010807.html

We should also have consistency between the Name field, the name used in the
titlebar, the name used in the application menu (gnome-shell, or OS X), the
about box, and the documentation.

Also see http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/CorrectGenericName .

Can we change the name and generic name in the desktop file to reflect this?

Name = Inkscape
GenericName = Vector Graphics Editor

Ok a couple of changes since July. Wiki is now here:
http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/CorrectDesktopFiles

So it should be:

[Desktop Entry]
_Name=Inkscape
_GenericName=Vector Graphics Editor
_X-GNOME-FullName=Inkscape Vector Graphics Editor

tags: added: linux osx

AFAIK the current osx packages don't include or use a Gnome desktop file.
