2009-06-09 15:17:01 philodygmn description Switching to the nearest visible layer would solve the problem of needing 3 clicks (actually 4 now, in conjunction with the bug #201203 "focus issues when using docked palettes") to take something from one layer then hide it, paste into another, and go back to editing in the canvas. This basic process right now is a minefield that saps a lot of mental cycles. Should be, for my process: * un-hide source layer * select all, copy * re-hide source layer * un-hide desination layer * paste * zoom in or out in the canvas No additional keystrokes or mouse interaction required. This basic process right now is a minefield that saps a lot of mental cycles. Should be, for my process: * un-hide source layer * select all, copy * re-hide source layer * un-hide desination layer * paste * zoom in or out in the canvas No additional keystrokes or mouse interaction required. What happens often now is due to lacking focus on the nearest visible layer, I can see its contents and after hiding the source layer, my paste does _nothing_ due to the fact I must first _select_ the destination layer in the layers palette again even if it's the only visible layer. Then bug #201203 extracts an additional click to the canvas before I can move on.
