Allow guideline values in percent / relative to page

Suggestion for a new feature:

I recently wanted to have a guideline in the middle of the page. Maybe I've missed something, but there seems to be no easy way to do that. I had to get the values of my page settings and calculate the half myself.

Why not adding a possibility in the guideline settings to set the position beside inches, meters etc. in percent? So one could just set a guideline to 50% and it's in the middle.

in the development version of Inkscape there is a menu item called :
Extensions -> Render -> Guides Creator...
which I believe would do this.
