using "Effects > Color > Grayscale" does not effect all selected objects

I selected and object (an arrow) and tried to convert it in gray scale. I worked for the line but the head remained green.

I used inkscape 0.46 on a mac.
The sgv file was an export from the software ginsim (http://gin.univ-mrs.fr/GINsim/download.html). The model can be downloaded on this page too (http://gin.univ-mrs.fr/GINsim/model_repository/DROSOPHILA%20DEVELOPMENT/Wing%20imaginal%20disk/AP%20Boundary/ap_boundary.zginml).

It seems there has been a problem with marker colors in inkscape for a while. What you can do as a workaround is select all the objects and apply the effect

Effects -> Modify Path -> Color Markers To Match Stroke
