Bug Description
When trying to reproduce bug 381301 on OS X with a single rectangle in a single document, I observed the PDF Import dialog being invoked at random intervals.
It appears that sometimes when a past operation is being performed, the wrong type is invoked and image import is triggered instead of simple internal data.
This could be a factor adding to crashing in

This will be fixed in Inkscape 1.0 as the macOS app will be native and no longer depend on X11/XQuartz.
