Bug Description

The attached SVG file is a file saved by Inkscape, and is originally based on a GnuPlot eps file converted to PDF. When saving this file in PDF or EPS format in Inkscape, the text along the axis's of the graph, are replaced by black boxes. I can reproduce this bug with Inkscape 0.46 as shipped by Ubuntu Intrepid and by Mandriva Linux 2009.1 (both x86_64).

- confirmed on Windows XP Inkscape 0.46. pdf file attached.
- very similar to Bug 356343
- unfortunately, if I try to save as .pdf in recent development version I get a crash with no exit message.

Yes, I see the same thing with a file which (I think) includes bitmap images -saving as a PDF file results in black boxes over the images.

Attaching the PDF file saved by inkscape showing the black boxes.

I should mention that this is inkscape 0.47 on Fedora 12.
