using mouse+space for changing window area causes changes in layer window (visiblity or layer lock)

Bug Description

I use mouse and space to change the window area. If I made an action in the layer window before, so the layer menu is still the active window, and then I press space, the visibility or the lock/unlock changes instead of changing the window area.

Sorry for the delay...

I can't find this shortcut in the Keys and Mouse reference (http://inkscape.org/doc/keys048.html) and can't reproduce this issue.
Could you please give some detailed steps?

Thanks!

AFAIU that's the setting to pan with the left mouse button when space is pressed (Preferences > Scrolling) -> reproduced with Inkscape 0.48+devel r10009 on OS X 10.5.8 with docked dialogs.

Possibly same problem as reported in bug #505225 “Layer text box popup”, underlying unsolved issue bug #201203 “focus issues when using docked palettes”.

Thanks ~suv, I didn't remember the scrolling preference.
Confirmed on Ubuntu 10.10, Inkscape trunk revision 10013.
