Bug Description
When I work on a spiro I mostly select nodes with (SHIFT+)TAB. But to be able to insert a node I have to SHIFT + mouse click the next/previous node with my touchpad. It would be great to have a shortcut to do this.

It may not quite be what you want, or as convenient, but the Shift+D combination will "dupe" the node you've tab-selected. The new node is spliced into the path at the same location and becomes the selected node. You can then position the new node to wherever you like it.
I propose Shift+N / Shift+P insert a new node between the existing single node and the Next / Previous one on the path (at the midpoint). These letters do not appear to do anything in Node tool context. Would this be of use to you?
