Bug Description
I am using Inkscape 0.46 on Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.6. Whenever I try to use effects I get the "The fantastic lxml wrapper for libxml2 is required..." error message. Since lxml is bundled with Inkscape 0.46, this shouldn't be happening.
I'm using the stock python installation on Leopard:
$ which python
/usr/bin/python
$ python -V
Python 2.5.1
From the python interpreter I can import etree from the lxml module bundled with Inkscape and it works fine. I can also import the inkex without any problems. But from within Inkscape.app (launched either from the command line or from the GUI), attempts to use effects always fail.

Does this still happen with the 0.47pre1 package up on Sourceforge?
