changing font size gives varying result

Bug Description
If changing font size through text tool bar or dialog resulting font size depends on
whether the 'text to change' is marked or not.
If I place the curser inside 'text to change' changing font size to let's say 10 yields to a resized text with font size 10.
If I mark the whole 'text to change' changing font size to 10 yields to a resized text with font size 36,935.
I don't think this is the intended behaviour of changing font size ?!
