Program chrashes when putting effect on image

Dear community,
Following scenario: I imported an image into my file. The image is a low resolution jpg. I select the image and select in the Top Menu: Effects > Raster > Gaussian Blur... . I adjust the parameters to Faktor: 13.7, Sigma: 7.6. I click on live preview and see no effect. I click on "Apply" and recieve following message: "Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now. Automatic backups...".

For me everything works well. I haven't encountered any problem doing things according to your scenario. Inkscape version 19985.

Thank you for reporting your crash with the raster effects. Your description fits a more recent bug report (bug #379977) which just got fixed in SVN rev. 21703. If your problem still exists with current development builds, please add a comment and unmark this bug as duplicate!
