Missing support for vertical left-to-right text

This isn't directly covered in bug#269374 and is really quite annoying (and most likely would take much to implement)

I would like to be able to write vertically, but left to right (like Korean vertical writing as seen on book spines). Currently the only way to do this is to either put your text out of order when you read it horizontally left to right (as is the normal way) so that it makes sense using the R-L vertical system that is in place currently or to put your text in in separate lines and flow them (not much fun when you have to do it 70-80 times!)

I realise this is likely to end up on the wishlist!
