Closing invalid.
The bug is not due to Inkscape, but to Visio, which uses a prefix which is not linked to a namespace.
Workaround: just add:
xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"
in the svg opening tag, and it works in Inkscape.

Changed in inkscape:
status: New → Invalid
tags: added: connectors

A little update: Visio 2010 has this bug fixed - SVG generated by it has the xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" attribute in it.

BTW, (for a better tracking and bug management) this bug isn't really a duplicate of #166199 since the generator softwares are not the same. This one is Visio while the other is Webdraw & Coral.
