Text missing from pdf import

When I import this pdf into inkscape, all I get is the big red circle. None of the text appears. This isn't just a problem of using the wrong font like #221405, the text seems to just be completely missing.

This pdf was generated by Illustrator CS2.

I'm using a Windows snapshot of inkscape

Confirmed on Windows XP, Inkscape rev. 21933.
The text is indeed completely missing (nothing in the SVG code).
It is imported with 0.46, but badly rendered (the text is replaced by letters like HHH).

The missing text use a Type1 (CID) font, Identity-H encoding. Not sure Inkscape supports that.

not reproduced with Inkscape r21924 on OS X 10.5.7

imports ok, and renders correct(?) even when saved as svg and reopened (see attached screenshot of the logo rendered in Inkscape), even though I do not have a font called 'Kozuka Gothic Pro' installed.

I have observed this as well with the attached PDF. The text was apparently added by Acrobat.

matsuri_logo.pdf works ok even with internal import
topic 7.pdf works ok with Poppler/Cairo import.
