Guides are invisible in blue or red backgrounds

Guides are blue / red. If you're working with a blue or red background, it can be impossible to see them!

My suggestion would be to render guides as a color rotation of whatever it's over.

Attached is a screenshot of the problem. I'm trying to line up a guide at X=125, and it's barely visible on screen. I think PNG makes it stand out slightly better, but other backgrounds could include the exact colors guides use.

Perhaps the best solution would be to use the same rendering method which is used for rubber band selection and the rotation/scaling handles.

I should note that I've discovered a workaround: there's an option to change the color of the guides.

Since the possibility to manually change the guides color exists, it's difficult to consider it a bug.

But at least, as proposed comment #2, we can consider the report as a whishlist for an automatic color adaptation to background.

IMHO: Whenever a guide has a color set (and not the default is used) the color should stay as such. Then changing the background is the workaround to see the guides again. If the guide colors is not changed and default, they could have a dynamic behavior. In this way, people can also choose to have complete control over the guides color (and use different colors) or they have a dynamic color (when no color is set) when needed in respect to the background.
