SVG pixels are defined as 1/90 of an inch

Points are usually defined as 1/72 of an inch. So to get a certain result points, multiply it by 1.25 and use that many pixels.

For example if you need 10pt text, use 12.5 pixels in Inkscape

Does this help with your issue? If not could you please provide a more detailed description of the problem, where exactly do you get 13.5pt and where do you enter 150?

Every design and page layout programs out there use to have type sizes expressed in points, not in pixels. Even a word processor. People expects points in that dialog, at least as an option.
I know that Inkscape is primarily an SVG editor, but it has option for real world units too, and in that case having abstract units is confusing for the user.
I think this issue shouldn't be closed until a better solution is presented.
I am used to multiply by 1.25 each time I need to enter type, but that's a hack, not a real solution. And it's very tedious and prone to errors when you have to work with lots of text boxes.

This is a longstanding problem, but it catches unprevented a lot of new users, and annoys experienced users that use inkscape as a graphic design tool.
I think this bug should be re-opened and giving it a pretty important priority.
