Bug Description
The XML View is great for precisely editing and selecting components. However, it takes up quite some screen real estate. Therefore, I'd like it if the XML view becomes "dockable" - somewhat like the "About Memory"-dialog in 0.46 allready is.

I'm adding my vote for this one. I'd also like a feature where you can choose if the right-hand side of the dialog is shown. Most of the time only the left side with the objects list is needed.
This feature is one of the steps to make XML editor handle objects in layers and other "Illustratorlike" features.
