Bug Description
I installed inkscape .46 on a win XP machine using "Inkscape-
However, when the installer then moved on to install 0.46, it refused as the directory was not empty (I wanted to install into the same location as the previously removed version of inkscape).
The problem, it turned out, was the existence of "uninst.exe" in the install folder, presumably from the uninstall of a previous version. I deleted uninst.exe and .46 installed with no problem.
Should the uninstaller just delete everything in the install folder to ensure removal of any old crud, or should the installer some-how cope with an install directory that is not empty?
Also please look at two problem mentioned here:

There do seem to be some installer issues that need to be looked at.
The workaround for this one seems to be to find the old Inkscape in the start menu, and use the uninstall icon that is with it.
