Clipboard doesn't work between Inkscape windows

Bug Description
If I try to copy an object from one Inkskape window to another, it works only if the second window was opened by using the "New" button in the first window.
But if the second window was opened through the Gnome menu or by opening an svg file, copy/paste between the two Inkscape windows doesn't work.
Copy/paste from other apps to or from Inkscape works well.
