Bug Description

Small glitches.
Mac, Catalina 10.15.3. Inkscape 1.0beta2 (2b71d25, 2019-12-03)

1.The red dot in the "traffic light" won't close the window.
2. The dropdown and windows for dimensions always returns to "pixels" after I set to inches, and close the app or window.

All reproducible. Happens every time.

Closing as duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1861620. Just marking as invalid as we are migrating bugs to Gitlab anyway.

If you have time, could you please write this issue up on GitLab (see https://inkscape.org/contribute/report-bugs/ for an up-to-date guide on reporting bugs).

I'd be interested to know if this affects both the main window and the dialog.

For the document units issue, these settings are dependent on document. To set default units, change the settings and then save the file as a template (it'll ask you if you want to make it the default).
