WIn Inscape crashes after installation of Ver. 1809

Dear all,
yesterday I installed WIN10 Ver. 1809 and found that Inscape is no longer working. At first it started but as soon as I moved the cursor to open file the program crashed. So, I downloaded the latest version (9.2.3) from the web site and reinstalled it completely. The result: Inscape cannot be opened instead there is message saying: "Inscape has deteced an internal error and will be closed."
Does anyone have a solution?

you could try deleting or temporarily renaming the preferences file, at:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\inkscape\preferences.xml

also, which Inkscape version did you install: 32 bit or 64 bit, .exe or .msi?

Thank Alvin! I deleted the file but the resul is the same - Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close -
I installed the 64bit version with an .exe file.

could you try running it from DOS with a command like this:

C:\>cd\program files\inkscape

C:\Program Files\Inkscape>inkscape

to see if there are any error messages?
