exporting to PNG causes a loss of most photos regardless of placement

Bug Description

when trying to export to a PNG, the result is a mostly blank image, showing only the background and some randomly selected photos. export to PDF works fine.
OS windows 7, 10v1803, kb4023057.
64 bit,
inkscape ver. 0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11)
downloadable installer throug website, for this version

here is this SVG, but it was happening on all the computers in our classroom, desktops and laptops. we haven't changed any of the settings from default. I'll add the export settings in a later post. it's the save dialogue.

This is not the 'Export to PNG' dialog. Please use

File > Export PNG image

to export a PNG image from Inkscape.

Cairo PNGs only support a subset of features of the actual PNG file format. Do not use that option.

Maybe, if you're an instructor, you would like to familiarize yourself with the software a bit before using it in a classroom. Here is a site that lists lots of tutorials that I can suggest:
