Bug Description

Hi Friends,
When you move an object from a layer which has a blend mode, when it gets to its new layer, it has also acquired a new filter, a blend filter corresponding to the layer blend mode. I think most users don't expect this.

Perhaps there is some logical reason for this, which I don't see? If that's the case, maybe it could be made optional? Maybe something like the options to move a gradient or pattern along with the object it's applied to? Or maybe some other kind of option?

Otherwise, I think the object should not be getting a new filter.

(I thought this might already be reported, but I didn't find it. So I apologize if it's a duplicate report.)

Thank you very much :-)

I agree that for layers, I wouldn't expect the filter to carry over, unlike for groups, where I would.

Yes right. I'm only suggesting this for the special groups called layers. Not for all groups.

Not reproduced in 1.0beta2. So not migrating. Closing.

Actually I was wrong about that.

1.0 beta2 does not indicate that the object has a blend filter applied to it. But it behaves as if it does.

But I won't re-open this. Instead, I'll just find a new report in GL.
