Bug Description
I've used this on Ubuntu 18.04, with a backported pango, and master as of 2018-11-07.
1. Docked dialog too wide per default. It's just huge, when a variable font is selected, and I cannot make it narrower.
2. Docked dialog gets wider when sliders are moved. It grew when I moved a slider to the right. Not every time, though. The slider couldn't be moved farther than the middle of the whole length of the UI element, but everytime I moved it, the dialog got wider, and it couldn't be made smaller again.
3. So I decided to undock and float. Now it was too long, with no option to reach the bottom. This was with a variable font that had many options (dimensions?). I tried to tab+Enter through the dialog, but couldn't get 'Apply' to work, even with the keyboard.
4. Next, I tried to redock, so I could at least get a scrollbar again, so I could find the 'Apply' button. Which also didn't work while the dialog was so wide and tall. After minimizing and selecting a different ('normal') font, I was able to dock it again.
In addition to fixing the above, I would like to suggest to put the Apply button at the top, over all those dimensions, or better, putting the dimensions into a separate tab, and making sure that is scrollable both docked and floating.
Hi, seems like you've already re-reported this on GitLab, so closing.
