Imported PDF object displays OK but will not print/export

Bug Description

A PDF file opens OK in Inkscape. The object can be viewed, manipulated (dragged, rotated etc.) w/o problem. Printing or saving as PDF completes but the object imported from PDF renders as a blank, filled rectangle, sometimes with a gradient, having the same size as the original object.

Other objects added to the drawing (eg. a circle, or some text) do render properly in the printed etc. copy.

OS/Inkscape versions tried which reproduce the bug: Windows7/0.91; SLC6 Linux / 0.47

Thanks
Tom Crane

It's the clip again. Release it to get the export working.

Select object -> Edit > Clip > Release.

I think this is a known issue. It also affects master as of 0.92+devel (0f4e827, 2018-10-22).

Thanks for the update. This does not appear to work for either of the two platforms/versions I am using.

After using

Select object -> Edit > Clip > Release

I get a black filled rectangle for the object. Using

Object -> Fill and Stroke -> Fill tab -> Click [X]

restores the details of the object (PCB tracks) but printing it still produces the featureless rectangle with a gradient in it.
