Text tool font dropdown: autoscroll gets into the way of usability

Bug Description

The font family selection dropdown in the text tool's tool controls bar stays sensitive for mouse movements even when the mouse is outside of the dropdown area. It moves as soon as the mouse approaches one of the borders, e.g. to select a font farther down, and it even autoscrolls horizontally, which is especially nasty, as one cannot see what the current font is anymore as soon as one moves the mouse into the right area of the dropdown.

This means that it becomes very hard to select a font from the tool controls bar, as the contents is always moving, sometimes out of sight.

The dropdown also doesn't close when one clicks on the dropdown icon again (just keeps scrolling). Only Escape or choosing a font leaves it.

Inkscape master: 0.92+devel (14d07e6, 2018-08-17) on Linux Mint 18.3

Is there any info that would help you? It's still present for me.

This could be using some Xfce font dropdown widget then... What does it look like for you?

Closing because I can't reproduce.

I can't reproduce this in Inkscape 1.0 (4035a4fb49, 2020-05-01).
But I do remember having had the issue back in the day, looks like this has been fixed. *Fingers crossed*. If anybody still experiences that bug – please open a new issue on gitlab.
