printing fails by windows default printer

Note that in the video 2 bugs are showcased. Both are related to printing. Bug reported here is shown first. The first generated printjob disappears almost immediately and did not result in a physical print. The second generated printjob is properly executed and resulted in a physical print.

Pre-requisites:
Multiple printers installed on system (can be same physical printer but install 1 for network and 1 for USB)
Working printer is selected as default printer in Windows Printers and settings screen

Open inkscape
Open an SVG document
Click File --> Print
  The default printer is highlighted
Click Print

Result:
Printjob is created but immediately disappears. On one occasion a print came out with PCL XL warning IllegalMediaSize. This however was only one occasion, other occassions nothing printed at all.

Work-around:

Open inkscape
Open an SVG document
Click File --> Print
  The default printer is highlighted
Click one of the other printers
Click the default printer again
Click Print

result:
Printjob is created and processed. Physical print is coming out of printer
