copy/paste clone produces wrong size in same document

Steps to reproduce:

1.Start Inkscape
2.Make a rectangle
3.Clone the rectangle
4.Copy the clone (ctrl+c)
5.Paste the clone (ctrl+v)

Result: the clone is pasted at a much smaller size than the original clone.

Inkscape version info from apt:
inkscape-trunk:amd64 (1:0.92.0+devel+201807041751~ubuntu17.10.1, 1:0.92.0+devel+201807081751~ubuntu17.10.1

Bug not present in:
inkscape:amd64 (0.92.2-1build1)
