Bug Description
Inkscape 0.92.2 5c3e80d, 2017-08-06
OS X 10.11.6 (15G20015) "El Capitan"
OS X package downloaded at :
https:/
XQuartz 2.7.11 (xorg-server 1.18.4)
This version often crash with a simple action I've been able to reproduce
with a minimal demonstration Inkscape file.
- Load the attached file with Inkscape
- Select the last object (path id="8612") in the XML window
- Click again on the selected object to able rotation
- Rotate the object counter-clockwise
- Crash!
The log file shows :
gtkspell error: enchant error for language: fr_FR.UTF-8
Assertion failed: (are_near(
Emergency save activated!
Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now.
If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at www.inkscape.org
with a detailed description of the steps leading to the crash, so we can fix it.
inkscape-bin: Fatal IO error 35 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server /private/
I noticed the crash hangs the XQuartz display : even if
the Inkscape process is finished, the display is hung and I
must kill XQuartz to cleanup the current desktop.
This crash seems to occur with this very specific version : I tried
to reproduce it with the latest brew compiled (0.92.3 2405546, 2018-03-11)
version which doesn't show this problem (unfortunatly, the brew version,
which doesn't require XQuartz is unusable on my laptop, the screen refresh
being, alas, completely broken)
Hope this helps and many thanks for your fantastic work to all of you.
