Bug Description
Inkscape 0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11)
Ubuntu 18.04 and pretty sure it was the same in Windows.
Bug as stated above here is how you reproduce it.
1. Create a new text object on a page and write some text in it such as test.
2. Right click on the text object and click "Object Properties" in the object properties dialogue box place some text in either the "Title" or "Description" field and click set.
3. Now if you want to change the text on the page in the future double click on the text object and use "ctrl+a" to select all text in the field. Now try and type. Nothing types in the field unless you leave one character there, type then delete that character later. If you delete the text in the object properties title or description field it works as normal.
This is a small bug but if you want to use those "Object properties" fields to find and select objects later it is useful.
