Bug Description

Sometimes, when features like blur are used, files exported as other formats than svg can be really different from the input.
For example, I often draw illustrations to be used with LaTeX, and the PDF is really different, so I try eps, etc. and, sometimes, I fall back to png.
I think a great feature would be to have a dialog with previews (as a thumbnail grid or tabs) of the current work with each supported export format.

Hello BookeldOr,
thank you for your interest in improving the features of inkscape. I have put your request on our wishlist for a developer to pick it up. The export into formats like PS,PDF,EPS,PNG will be handled by inkscape with cairo after the release of 0.46. It might be a good idea to test inkscape after this realease again, if the exported files are to your satisfaction and then maybe preview of exported files will be obsolete, because they are then of the same (high) quality.

Changed in inkscape:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Confirmed
