Dialogs created offscreen

In previous versions, selecting Text and Font while some text is selected allowed me to change the text. Now nothing happens when I select "Text and Font" either on menu, or by right-clicking text. In comparison, "Fill and Stroke" brings up the window which is part of the properties dialog to the right of the main image.

Just downgraded to Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), and same thing. The Text and Font dialog does not open. Not sure what to do now.

For some reason the window was off-screen. I found in Microsoft Spy++ that is was being displayed, with the following details:
Rectangle: (2376, -852)-(2772, -356) 396x496
Restored Rect: (2376, -852)-(2772, -356) 396x496
Client Rect: (8, 31)-(388, 488), 380x457

Not sure how to read that, but I assume it was off-screen for some reason. Using Inkscape's Text and Font command again I forced the focus to the window, then ALT-Space to get the move menu. With that I could force the window onto my display.

I did change my display layouts when I added a 3rd screen, I wonder if that made the saved location off-screen. When a dialog is created with saved location parameters, the program should check if those location parameters are visible. If not, it should reset the location.

Regardless, problem solved.
