Broken rendering on Mac/OSX

Bug Description

I installed Inkscape (with xQuartz previously installed and working) after launching it, some windows appear but they seem broken. Some things look like whole spritesheets instead of icons and the drawing area is completely broken. Also after selecting the pen tool, it seems to crash.
I tried reinstalling xQuartz and Inkscape, no improvements.

I attached a screenshot because it's hard to describe.

I am running Inkscape 0.92.2-1,11269 - installed via Homebrew (I've also tried direct builds from official website) on macOS High Sierra 10.13.3
