Add "Import/Export to Openclipart" on Windows as well?

Basically, this feature is absent from the windows version of the program. Is it possible that someone could do a little magic prior to the release of 0.46?

basically there are some dependencies that need to be filled before this can be used in windows...
im not sure what they are, but im sure someone else will elaborate...

To answer the question about if this can be done for 0.46, no, the window for feature work like this has passed.

I believe the main roadblock is that the feature has many various platform-dependent aspects that needs someone on Windows to volunteer to investigate and sort out.

Well, it really would be great. It would save that little extra time and give the program yet another cool little touch to it. I don't really see how it would be so difficult theoretically. Hopefully someone can do it in time for the next release.

Actually, one of my preferences would be for a way to quickly retrieve my commonly used objects. I can't put them on Open Clipart as I put CC-BY-SA-3.0 on them. Currently, I have to open a file from the MRU list. If it doesn't have the needed object, I have to search for a file that does.

I will start as Bryce Harrington said for someone on windows to do. If no one has started this I will. I think as for .46 I think that is passed due to new features of .48 it's unlikely someone will revert to .46 of Inkscape I will start ASAP and see about the .48 release if that works.

The new OCAL dialog was committed in revision 11027, though some users reported crashes. See report #943275.

There is no FIX Committed.

There is no Import from Openclipart , this is a bug, more correct a wishlist, that will help boost OpenClipart to thousands of people that use Inkscape on windows.

The current bug status 'Fix Committed' does not claim that this feature is already available for Windows users in a _released_ stable version (else the bug status would be 'Fix Released', with a milestone of a stable released version).
The feature will be available for Windows users in the next major version 0.49 (see the 'Milestone' set for the report), and can be tested in current development snapshot builds (also available for Windows). Issues with this new feature in current trunk are tracked in separate reports.
