Bug Description

The Lightness parameter in Fill and Stroke dialogue changes transparency of an object as well as it's lightness, ranging from black and non-transparent at 0 to fully transparent at 255 values. Other values give translucent colour, saturated according to the Saturation setting (see the attachment).
Another thing is that the object is transparent over other paths, but opaque over the edge and shadow of the canvas, where only the Alpha or Opacity values make it visible through. Further more, moving other objects underneath does not update their view in the area of the object unless you move it (see the attachment: the blue square was moved).
I have not noticed any particular circumstances under which the bug appears and it seems to happen during normal use, only to certain objects. I have noticed it happening with paths that are combined in one, but not sure if it's the case and breaking them apart, duplicating does not solve the issue. Newly drawn objects on the same layer appear properly. Saving and opening the document does not help. Exported image retains transparency as well.
Inkscape 0.92.1 r15371

I have not noticed the alpha value of the object in the previous attachment was lowered so here is another screenshot.

If you could attach the svg file as an example, that could help.

Here is the .svg file. I decided not to remove any layers, but the affected objects are on the layer "bal".

I also have to add, that this object was made out of two combined paths and copied from another Inkscape project. Previously I noticed this bug appearing with a duplicated layer, where only the duplicate displayed such behaviour (it also contained combined paths, including the object from the attached file).

Can you remember how it could have happened that the blend filter was added?
Was the object copied from a layer with that filter?

To get rid of the issue, do Filters -> Remove filters.

For issues like these, it often helps to look into the status line (at the bottom of the window) when the problematic object is selected.

No, I did not use filters at all and do not know how this could have been added, unless there is a way for it to happen accidentally. I know well the tools I use in this program and certainly wouldn't activate what I don't need. Ubuntu Unity HUD tool wasn't used as well.

Thanks for the advice on the status line.
