inkscape not sizing my dxf correctley when saving in inksape and opening in fusion 360 or flashcut for cnc plasma table

I have tried for days to figure out why this is happening. I save item in inkscape as dxf or svg and try to open in either fushion 360 or my flashcut and it either opens undersize or now its oversized.

Can you tell us the size ratio of the objects you measure and check if using one of the templates 'default pt' or 'default px' solves or at least changes your problem to a 90/96 ratio?

Also, please select the option 'Edit > preferences > Input/Output > SVG Output: Path string format: absolute'.

I set the page in documents properties units and display units set to inches. when I save the file when the window comes up I set it to in from pt. if that helps

thanks for the file. Just for the record, the links in comment 2 and comment 9 did not work, the files could not be downloaded. However, the link in comment 8 worked well.

The file FFkneeling.svg reports the size as h = 12.058in, w = 16.222658in.

Using Windows 10 and Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06) I save this file as dxf to get the attached result. I used Base Unit = mm. The height of this dxf file image is about 305 mm, which is the expected size.

Could you try these settings, specifically the Base Unit, and see if they work?

attached is an svg file that was submitted privately by Dale for testing purposes. Inkscape reports the image height as 1157.568 px = 12.058 in.

attached is the dxf file I get from Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06)

the height of the dxf image is about 306 mm, which is the correct value.
If this dxf file does not agree with what you are getting, then I would suggest upgrading to the latest stable release which is available at:
https://inkscape.org/en/release/0.92.2/

There have been at least two fairly recent changes in the output scaling, and I am not sure if these changes are present in your version, which appears to be "0.92.1 r15371"
