Snapping confirmation text resize

When snapping tools are turned on, a light grey message appears when objects are about to snap together: e.g. "cusp node to cusp node". The text for this message has suddenly increased to a very large font size after being quite small (somewhere in between would be good). The large font gets in the way of the artwork. Is there a way to control the font size of the snapping confirmation message text? How do I reset this to how it was originally?

Could you please add Information on Inkscape version and OS?

I'm not aware of a setting to influence font size for the snap indicator so it might be an OS setting (or a very well hidden setting ;-) ).

I am using Inkscape 0.92 and Windows 10 for PC.
