Bug Description

Hi all.

This request is about exporting PNGs bitmaps images with the export tool. I
noticed that sometimes the png doesn't meet my needs. I have to export it
with 300 ppi resolution and resize it with the GIMP to have better quality
images and less file weight.
Why not adding to the export tool a GIMP like PNG configuration tool ?

More precisely, the tools should allow :
- Compression level for PNG images;
- Possibility to export 300ppi image quality with real SVG dimensions
(100x200 in 90ppi would have the same dimensions in 300ppi)
- Possiblity to register or not in the image : resolution, alpha layer...

Thank you in advance, and for your great work.

I would also like to have additional export options. Specifically, I would like to export pngs without alpha... Even when my export selection has no alpha transparency, the exported png has alpha... I must open the png in gimp and resave (default png settings work) to rectify the problem.

If you create a 512x512 100% opaque square, export it from inkscape and upload it to SecondLife. The image will behave as if it has transparency (SL has issues with alpha z order when transparent textures overlap... so when looking at the texture overlapping other transparent textures, the textures will sometimes render incorrectly... the underlaying textures appearing in front. Once the texture is without transparency, it is correctly rendered in front.

Please provide some png export settings in the export dialog.

Thanks, I really love using inkscape. its a great app.. especially the latest svn.
