Freehand drawing should modify existing curve like AI do

Bug Description
I know it's very non-trivial modification, but I would highly appreciate if
a function similar to the AI freehand drawing would be implemented. When I
draw a curve in AI and I don't like its shape, I could easily modify the
shape just by redrawing the part of this curve. This also usually smoothes
the curve in that part. Unfortunately, Inkscape always produces a new curve
and do not modify the existing one.
