Bug Description
It would be really nice to be able to set a precise value to the Linked
Offset.
The "contextual toolbar" for linked offset is for now the node editor
toolbar, which makes no sense. It would be preferable to have a specific
context toolbar for it, proposing just a dimension entry editor (with
units).
PS: I know I can set this parameter precisely using the XML editor. But I'd
like to make Inkscape usable for users that may find the "linked offset"
really useful, but I cannot ask them to use the XML editor to tune the
offset.

Hey, just stumbled across this rfe of mine. For some reason I have not
been logged in when I wrote it... Maybe just no using my computer.
Anyways, I wanted to set a link to a bug about setting an space between an
object where text is flowed in and the text itself. This is because there I
propose a solution that works with linked offset and really I consider it a
very simple and good solution.
