Delete objects outside of page border (CLI option request)

Usually during a project I save alternate versions or extra resources outside of the page border. When I go to publish I like to clean the files up. --vacuum-defs is a great cleanup tool for getting rid of junk (especially when it can be done recursively), but when it comes to deleting/removing extra content beyond the page border, there is no option for this as of Inkscape 0.92. It needs to be done manually.

The way I do it now is:

1) Open the file
2) Select everything within the page border
3) Invert selection
4) Delete

This has to be done for each individual file, and sometimes there are hundreds within many subfolders. It would be nice if there was a way to automate this via CLI.
